Firebox Treble Booster

Made one-at-a-time in Canada, the Firebox Treble Booster is an evolution of the iconic Rangemaster of the '60s, incorporating some of my favourite elements of more modern variants such as the Diaz Texas Ranger and the DAM Red Rooster.

Up top, the Level control delivers a punch, capable of pushing the front end of your amp when cranked up. The Range control, meticulously tweaked, is the heart of the circuit and is extremely useable across its entire sweep. From focused upper mid boost that will cut through any mix to pseudo-fuzzy overdriven tones. Explore the core sound and everything in-between by manipulating your guitar's volume knob once you've found that perfect setting. Dare I say, it can get really organic and glassy!

Internally, the Firebox is made up of amp-level quality components designed to get the most out of a carefully chosen NOS transistor. A bias trimmer with dual test pads enables easy fine-tuning, allowing you to sculpt the amount of gain available on tap.

Built for the road in a pedalboard-friendly size, top-notch top-jacks, a soft-click footswitch by Gorva, and a standard DC center-pin negative power jack ready to fit into any rig.

A word about transistors – Each transistor is carefully selected within tight tolerances for this booster. Each type imparts its own unique character to the sound and feel of the pedal. Refer to the Transistor Info FAQ in the top menu for details on different types of transistors. Prices may vary based on rarity, with new options as they are available.

Each pedal is meticulously made-to-order and backed by a 1-year, non-transferrable warranty against operational defects. Please allow up to 10 business days for the build process. You'll receive a tracking number once your bespoke pedal is on its way.
